Welcome to Hoxford Fan Film of the Day: Director Julien Mokrani turns in a highly-polished fan film adaptation of Welcome to Hoxford, Ben Templesmith’s dark mini-series from IDW comics.
It’s about an unusual mental institution full of unusual prisoners, including savage new inmate Raymond Delgado. Delgado’s used to being the biggest badass around, but he might find some competition at Hoxford.
Warning: scary monsters and super-creeps.
Random Comic Book Characters of the Day: Nice catch by comics artist Scott Snyder (American Vampire), who recently found the same pair of scruffy white boys — one with wire-rimmed glasses, the other sporting major muttonchops — posing as myriad extras in both Marvel and DC comics.
Let us know if you’ve got the skinny on these dudes. Check out a larger image here.

Re-Imagination of the Day: Ghost World’s Rebecca and Enid re-imagined as Scooby Doo’s Daphne and Velma by Mr. Ed of Beasts! fame.
First in an ongoing series of “mushups” (see also: Daniel Clowes’ Wilson as House).

Canary Cry Of The Day: This is the latest installment of Super Unofficial’s The Five Faces Project— “Black Canary.”
This vid has got more fishnets and fierceness than any other SFW short on the internet. But don’t stop watching at the credits… there’s a secret trailer around the 8:45 mark. Can’t wait to see what they do with Captain Marvel and Robin in their next vid!
